February 9, 2015 – Borenstein Group, Washington DC’s influential B2B & B2G Digital integrated marketing communications agency, has won two 2015 AVA Digital Awards. Borenstein Group’s digital rebranding of eMentum, an elite information security management consulting firm of Leesburg, Virginia, has won the coveted Platinum Award for web site design. In addition, Borenstein Group received honorable mention for its digital rebrand of Aquent Studios, a global outsourcing leader. Both award-winning sites feature responsive design, advanced user interface, new taglines, and B2B content marketing in support of the client’s brands.

The AVA Digital Awards competition recognizes outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design, and production of media that is part of the evolution of digital communication. Work ranges from audio and video productions to a website and social media sites that present interactive components such as video, animation, blogs, and podcasts to other forms of user-generated digital communication.

This year, there were about 2,100 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in the 2015 competition. Entrants included digital professionals from audio, video, and film production companies; web developers; advertising agencies; PR firms; corporate and government communication departments; and independent creative professionals such as designers, producers, directors, editors, and shooters.

AVA Digital Awards is sponsored and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). The international organization consists of several thousand productions, marketing, communication, advertising, public relations and free-lance professionals. AMCP administers recognition programs; provides judges and rewards outstanding achievement and service to the profession. As part of its mission, AMCP fosters and supports the efforts of creative professionals who contribute their unique talents to public service and charitable organizations.

Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.

    With PayPal, ApplePay and mobile marketing, combined with the democratization of content, new products will overcome local retail challenges and go global overnight.
  2. SOCIAL MEDIA BRAND MELTDOWNS WILL INCREASE
    As digital brands strive to provide an authentic experience by engaging with customers and prospects on social media, more big brands will suffer from viral criticisms and meltdowns on Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. The customers’ instant access to social media channels combined with a company’s misunderstood humor could be detrimental for their brand reputation.

MarCom Awards today announced winners for the 2014 international awards competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. There were over 6,500 entries throughout the United States, Canada and 15 other countries in the 2014 competition.

MarCom entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies, and freelancers. The competition has grown to perhaps the largest of its kind in the world. A look at the winners shows a range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies. The competition is so well respected in the industry that national public relations organizations, local ad clubs, and local business communicator chapters are entrants.

MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand creative professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence.

Winners were selected from over 200 categories in seven forms of media and communication efforts- marketing, publications, marketing/promotion, public service/pro bono, creativity and electronic/interactive.
