Marketing Challenge

For more than a decade, IPERC (Intelligent Power & Energy Research Corporation) has designed and developed intelligent microgrid technologies that are ushering in a new era of energy efficiency, security and performance. IPERC has successfully partnered with the U.S. military, government and commercial clients to provide secure, continuous power when failure is simply not an option. However, even after earning considerable success and industry authority, IPERC leaders realized the company’s outdated brand identity was not reflective of the company’s advanced capabilities, or visually on the level of competitors. IPERC leaders tasked Borenstein Group with a creative rebranding initiative to more effectively communicate IPERC’s strengths, and launch the brand to new heights of competitive success.

Strategic Solution

Borenstein Group employed its proven methodology to develop a comprehensive understanding of IPERC’s strengths and values through market research, competitor analysis and internal dialog. The key aspects identified in the discovery phase informed the creative process as Borenstein designed a new, accurate, high-impact brand identity. Central elements included a new logo which visually represents the integration of the microgrid, and uses a modern color palette that stands out among the competition. Borenstein crafted an engaging new tagline “Advancing the Power of Energy,” which alludes to IPERC’s continued innovation, and the impact of the company’s work.

In addition, Borenstein Group designed a responsive new website with the modern browsing experience in mind, to help bring the message to the market in the most accessible manner. A captivating homepage demonstrates IPERC’s core strengths, while driving viewers to informative pages including a case studies section that includes compelling examples of the successful implementation of IPERC’s solutions.

The rebranding initiative has given IPERC the tools to effectively display its innovative technologies as it pushes further into the commercial market.
