He founded Borenstein Group in 1994 with the mission of creating a marketing services agency that fuses strong creativity with metric-driven strategy to better serve the needs of Business-to-Business and Business-to-Government organizations and companies.

A vocal advocate of ROI marketing, Mr. Borenstein continues to promote awareness of intelligent planning and smart communications across the industry as a recognized thought leader and active public speaker. Mr. Borenstein has recently published his first business leadership book “What Really Counts for CEOs.” He has recently appeared as Guest Commentator on CNN and Fox Business News on strategic Marketing & Branding Issues. Mr. Borenstein has earned his Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his Master’s degree with honors in Business and Telecommunications Management from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
Ms. Mia Rommel is a certified Project Manager and Scientific Methodologist with proven experience in developing and implementing communication strategy, branding, and marketing initiatives for SMB, Enterprise and large B2G and B2B clients. As Accounts Director, Mia oversees project coordination and organization to ensure timely execution and successful results.

Her unique background gives her insight into client challenges across a variety of industries. She began her career in the Strategy and Operations division of Deloitte Federal consulting where she worked on process improvement, training, and communications strategy for clients such as DHS TSA, DoD JIEDDO, DHS ICE, FDA, and IRS. Her experience includes Federal, State and Local proposal creation and handling all marketing efforts for an 8(a) technology government services provider. In addition to her government-focused work, Mia has served a variety of logistics, accounting/finance, technology, pharmaceutical, and medical technology clients, including The Secor Group, large Deltek and Microsoft vendors, AdvaMed, Bio, and Novo Nordisk.
Before joining The Borenstein Group, Mia served as the account manager for the technology and finance verticals in a strategic marketing firm. Her projects included rebrands, research, positioning and messaging development, and website design and development. Mia is passionate about leading clients through brand management with a focus on efficiency and ease. Mia graduated with honors from George Washington University with a B.A. in English, and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute.
Mia is a Marathoner, Tri-Athlete, Cross-fitter and the Captain of her Ragnar Relay team. When she’s not organizing everything in sight, she can be found at the gun range or in her kitchen, whipping up strategic treats for the office.

His work includes creative concept development, copywriting, video production, case studies, SEO/SEM campaigns and web analytics. In addition, Brian leads the web development team in delivering stunning websites on WordPress and Drupal platforms. Before joining The Borenstein Group, Brian managed content development for global ecommerce sites, and lead in-house creative teams in developing high-impact B2B and B2C marketing materials. Ultimately, he takes pride in shaping brands through the delicate balance of emotion and information. Brian holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College where he studied Philosophy, Literature, Mathematics and Geocentric Astronomy. In addition, he is an accomplished musician, and performs regularly throughout the region.
Mr. Joe DePalma, Borenstein Group’s Creative Webologist, has over a decade of proven experience in successfully developing and producing progressive B2B and B2G integrated marketing brands for a wide number of professional, technology, and commercial organizations. Joe possesses the innate ability to create intelligent design solutions for clients that have high business impact and are persuasively compelling.

As Borenstein’s Group Creative Director, Mr. DePalma passionately steers the stylistic direction for the company’s full-service digital marketing efforts from web site UI and UX design to multimedia presentations and mobile apps. He is also responsible for orchestrating the day-to-day activities of the creative department talent from conceptual design to tactical execution. From concept to launch, Borenstein Group clients benefit from Mr. DePalma’s ability to fulfill business objectives through integrated creative strategy for both traditional and digital mediums. His experience encompasses the broad spectrum of marketing media support. A strong advocate for effective visualization and the use of design to convey brand, Mr. DePalma is committed to the best that cutting-edge creative has to offer.
A graduate of the acclaimed Savannah College of Art and Design, and one of the six people that actually grew up in the Northern Virginia, Joe leverages a unique understanding for both marketing and user experience that has helped take his designs to the next level. Joe further understands the importance of mobile / responsive design and using the latest development tools to design and implement these to add to a user’s experience. Though Joe has a true eye for design, his true passion is helping clients realize their ideas and goals through design. He loves the idea that he can help grow a client’s business. But his most creative production, undoubtedly, which Joe proudly touts, is his beautiful baby girl whom requires more attention and creative briefs than any single project thus far.
Mr. Corey Jones is an accomplished Art Director and Creative Digitologist whose experience in advertising and branding creative transcends print to include web design and development, interactive, mobile app development, content management and digital animation. Mr. Jones serves as Creative Chair on the Steering Committee for Ad 2 DC, a non-profit organization of advertising professionals ages 32 and younger.

Before joining the Borenstein Group, Mr. Jones successfully took numerous ideas from concept to execution including the award winning “Great Model Search” campaign for Johnson Products Inc. He is also responsible for the establishment of an award winning in-house design department, which resulted in winning a gold Hermes award for in-house collateral. Mr. Jones has worked on creative for a broad range of high-profile national and international brands including Dunkin’ Donuts®, Hungry Howie’s Pizza®, Midas®, Eaton Cutler-Hammer, Johnson Products inc., and United States Census 2010. Mr. Jones earned his Bachelor of Science degree in graphic design from the art institute of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA.
Ms. Taryn Johnson, Brand Archaeologist, has over a decade of experience in the field of graphic design. She has created various design materials including logos, brochures, tradeshow displays, web sites, direct mail, corporate identity, packaging and print ads. She has a passion for design and branding, and her hard work is a direct reflection of this passion.

Ms. Johnson has won numerous awards including Hermes, Marcom, and Stevie Awards. Ms. Johnson is responsible for overseeing that all creative is cohesive and on target. She is directly involved in creating original concepts for each project, working closely with the client, copywriting, creative and account service departments to tailor each design for maximum impact. Before coming to the Borenstein Group, Ms. Johnson worked on projects for numerous high-profile clients. Select clients include The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Federal Highway Administration, EPA, DOL, Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, Southeastern University and the USDA Forest Service to name a few. Ms. Johnson has earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Business Administration from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL.
Ms. Jordan Harrison is Borenstein Group’s savvy Digital Alchemist with both B2B and B2C experience. In her role, Jordan leads all digital demand generation and outreach, SEM and SEO campaign efforts. She prides herself in always remembering everyone’s name, and going the extra mile to meet clients’ needs. Jordan specializes in agile content marketing.

Prior to joining The Borenstein Group, Jordan cultivated relationships as a Business Development Coordinator at a marketing firm specializing in professional services. She actively managed all of the firm’s strategic partners while building links on the blogger outreach team. She has worked with companies including MarketingProfs, Service Performance Insight, Professional Services Journal, and MarketShare. Ms. Harrison earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and a minor in Business Administration with Honors from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA.
In her spare time, Jordan enjoys dancing en pointe, traveling and being a foodie. She has lived on four continents and in five states. She loves college football (Geaux Tigers!) and chocolate.
CONNIE H. HUTCHINSON
Ms. Connie Hutchinson is the Chemical Mixologist and driving force that keeps Borenstein Group running smoothly behind the creative scenes. Connie oversees Contract Administration, Finance and Human Resources. Not only does she play a critical role at our agency, she also gives of her time in her local community by serving a seventh elected term on the Herndon Town Council and is the Town’s Vice Mayor.

She is a Certified Local Government Official and currently serves on the Virginia Municipal League’s Legislative Committee.
Prior to her position with The Borenstein Group, Ms. Hutchinson had been Executive Director of the Herndon Dulles Visitor’s Center and previously served as the Communications Manager for the Herndon Dulles Chamber of Commerce. She is currently Vice President of the Dulles Area Transportation Association’s Board of Directors, and has served on the board since 2008. Connie serves as Treasurer of the Herndon Hospitality Association, and Co-Chairman of its popular free outdoor summer concert series ‘JamBrew’ which features local songwriters and musicians performing original music. She continues to serve on the Holiday Homes Tour of Herndon committee, which she led as Chairman from 2010-2012.
Originally from Chaska, Minnesota, Mr. Andrew Cleary, our Edit Specialologist, grew up skiing and playing hockey to stay warm in the winter. To this day, Andrew enjoys skiing. Eventually, he escaped the snow to study Business Management with a marketing emphasis and Political Science at Biola University in Los Angeles, where he also played lacrosse.

He likes exploring new places both near and far, especially if there is good or unique food involved. He drinks more coffee in an average day than any man should and has a mildly impressive collection of sunglasses.
Ms. Brittany Bunger, our Social Mediaologist is from a small town in Northeast Iowa. She studies at the University of Northern Iowa, majoring in Global Marketing with a minor in Communications. Ms. Bunger is involved with the American Marketing Association as the Director of Membership.
