Mr. Gal Borenstein, our Head Digital Strategologist, has more than 22 years of experience in marketing, public relations, and strategic planning. He founded Borenstein Group in 1994 with the mission of creating a marketing services agency that fuses strong creativity with metric-driven strategy to better serve the needs of Business-to-Business and Business-to-Government organizations and companies.

A vocal advocate of ROI marketing, Mr. Borenstein continues to promote awareness of intelligent planning and smart communications across the industry as a recognized thought leader and active public speaker. Mr. Borenstein has recently published his first business leadership book “What Really Counts for CEOs.” He has recently appeared as Guest Commentator on CNN and Fox Business News on strategic Marketing & Branding Issues. Mr. Borenstein has earned his Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his Master’s degree with honors in Business and Telecommunications Management from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Ms. Taryn Johnson, Brand Archaeologist, has over a decade of experience in the field of graphic design. She has created various design materials including logos, brochures, tradeshow displays, web sites, direct mail, corporate identity, packaging and print ads. She has a passion for design and branding, and her hard work is a direct reflection of this passion.

Ms. Johnson has won numerous awards including Hermes, Marcom, and Stevie Awards. Ms. Johnson is responsible for overseeing that all creative is cohesive and on target. She is directly involved in creating original concepts for each project, working closely with the client, copywriting, creative and account service departments to tailor each design for maximum impact. Before coming to the Borenstein Group, Ms. Johnson worked on projects for numerous high-profile clients. Select clients include The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Federal Highway Administration, EPA, DOL, Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, Southeastern University and the USDA Forest Service to name a few. Ms. Johnson has earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Business Administration from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL.

DIGITAL CONTENT STRATEGIST

Mr. Aaron Wachsstock is our Digital Psychologist. With a passion for understanding the world around him, Aaron applies cutting-edge technical expertise along with a creative perspective to amplify each brand’s online impact. As Digital Content Strategist, Aaron fuses his creative writing expertise along with a technical focus on user experience and information architecture in order to develop content marketing and creative brand initiatives that resonate with target audiences and compels them to act.

More About Aaron

Aaron is a Google AdWords Certified Professional, and manages Google AdWords PPC campaigns as well as SEO/SEM development to provide Borenstein clients with measurable return on investment from their digital marketing initiatives. In addition, Aaron leads the web development team in delivering impactful websites that helps brands communicate more effectively online.

Aaron is a recent graduate from the Virginia Commonwealth University, where he received his Bachelors of Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on advertising, business and psychology. He also grew up down the road in Fairfax, VA and has played ice hockey for the past 16 years. You can still find him on the ice, playing goalie for multiple adult league teams in the area.

DIGITAL DESIGN DIRECTOR

Mr. Corey Jones is an accomplished Art Director and Creative Digitologist whose experience in advertising and branding creative transcends print to include web design and development, interactive, mobile app development, content management and digital animation. Mr. Jones serves as Creative Chair on the Steering Committee for Ad 2 DC, a non-profit organization of advertising professionals ages 32 and younger.

This organization creates a means for up and coming professionals in the industry to gain meaningful leadership opportunities, build bigger networks, and contribute to local communities. Before joining the Borenstein Group, Mr. Jones successfully took numerous ideas from concept to execution including the award winning “Great Model Search” campaign for Johnson Products Inc. He is also responsible for the establishment of an award winning in-house design department, which resulted in winning a gold Hermes award for in-house collateral. Mr. Jones has worked on creative for a broad range of high-profile national and international brands including Dunkin’ Donuts®, Hungry Howie’s Pizza®, Midas®, Eaton Cutler-Hammer, Johnson Products inc., and United States Census 2010. Mr. Jones earned his Bachelor of Science degree in graphic design from the art institute of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA.

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Ms. Anna Schena, Client Communicatologist, serves as a primary contact for clients, delivering timely and thorough communication to ensure project success. As an account executive at Borenstein Group, Anna is involved in digital branding projects from start to finish. Anna serves as the liaison between clients and the creative team, translating clients’ business goals and relaying creative concepts clearly and efficiently.

Before joining Borenstein Group, Anna managed search engine optimization for B2B clients across a variety of industries at an international digital marketing agency. She designed individual client SEO strategies and consistently researched in order to keep up with the ever-changing internet marketing industry. Anna leverages her SEO expertise as an account executive at Borenstein Group, offering insight and guidance to ensure clients’ brands generate maximum impact online.

Anna is a graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. At Canisius, she received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in both Business and Studio Art. Anna held various leadership roles in college, serving as her Division I swimming team captain and as an officer of the Student Athletes Activities Committee. Anna fuses her competitive edge with experience in digital marketing, communications, art and psychology to help clients achieve success. Anna is originally from Michigan and enjoys painting and cooking in her spare time.

Ms. Cassie Meade, Creativeologist, ensures Borenstein Group projects run flawlessly from start to finish. Cassie leverages experience as both a graphic designer and a technical writer to contribute insight and uphold the highest standards of quality across BG’s digital design and content marketing projects.

Following a life-long love of all things creative, Cassie began her career as a graphic designer specializing in print design and event marketing. She transitioned to the field of account management through an internship at a leading digital interactive brand design firm in Washington, DC, where she honed exceptional organizational and planning abilities. With this fusion of a vibrant creative perspective and focused project management abilities, Cassie keeps BG projects on track and on target.

Cassie is a graduate of Elizabethtown college with a degree in English: Professional Writing, and minors in creative writing and studio art. During college, she fostered her artistic talents through clubs, internships, and jobs in various fields of marketing including graphic design and strategic marketing. Cassie is an avid learner, and is passionate about being active. She enjoys biking, skiing and trail running, and stays warm in the winter by heading to the mountains for some quality skiing and snowboarding.

GENERAL MANAGER

Ms. Connie Hutchinson is the Chemical Mixologist and driving force that keeps Borenstein Group running smoothly behind the creative scenes. Connie oversees Contract Administration, Finance and Human Resources. Not only has she played a critical role at our agency over the last three years, but she also dedicated much of her time in service of her hometown of Herndon, VA, recently concluding her seventh elected term on the Herndon Town Council as the Town’s Vice Mayor.

Prior to her position with The Borenstein Group, Ms. Hutchinson had been Executive Director of the Herndon Dulles Visitor’s Center and previously served as the Communications Manager for the Herndon Dulles Chamber of Commerce. She is currently Vice President of the Dulles Area Transportation Association’s Board of Directors, and has served on the board since 2008. Connie serves as Treasurer of the Herndon Hospitality Association, and Co-Chairman of its popular free outdoor summer concert series ‘JamBrew’ which features local songwriters and musicians performing original music. She continues to serve on the Holiday Homes Tour of Herndon committee, which she led as Chairman from 2010-2012.

Ms. Lindsay Muri is our Marketing Relationsologist and super-intern. She is actively engaged in supporting our social media, marketing communications and advertising projects. Originally from Connecticut, she made the move to D.C to study Communications and Marketing at American University. Her greatest strength is bringing her competitive and focused mindset from the soccer field to The Borenstein Group.

Steven Scott, Brand Lexicologist, is a right-brain meets left-brain writer. His background in business combined with his passion for consumer related psychology bring a strategic approach to brand communication. Steven’s experience with persuasive writing the B2B marketing arena and his affinity for building brand value have brought him to Borenstein Group.

Steven is a recent graduate from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in psychology. Having studied both business and psychology throughout his educational career, he views marketing (especially branding) as a perfect blend of both worlds. His passion for copywriting was born during his time in B2B business development, where he had the opportunity to completely revamp marketing materials with powerful messaging that reciprocated buy-in from decision makers he was targeting. When he is out of the office, Steven is happiest carving down the side of a snowy mountain.
