Description:
The Web Designer will help the client enhance strategic communications effectiveness of management, organizational and business improvement efforts. The Web Design hire will need to asses organizational design and staffing and provide appropriate recommendations. It is the hires' responsibility to ensure that web communications enhance/complement the client's vision and transformation efforts to the highest degree possible. You will collaborate closely with the Web Developer to concept and design new content areas and unique graphics, with software and tools appropriate the for content management system. The Web Designer will integrate audio/visual and graphic arts components into web designs.
Customer support shall be provided by telephone, email, or in person as necessary. The Web Designer will interface with managers to collect requirements and implement enabling technologies within a strict security environment. The Web Designer will be responsible for ensuring that the client's web site meets all Federal, Department of Defense (DoD), Section 508, and Army regulatory guidelines as it applies to the installation, operation, and management of web sites.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years Graphic Design experience; at least 2 of which are specific to the Web
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Graphic Design is preferred
- High proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Flash, ImageReady and Word
- Must show excellence in graphic design skills with a high degree of innovation as represented with a professional portfolio
- Excellent analytic thinking and creative problem solving skills for visual information design
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills

In this hands-on position, you will develop, strategize and directly coordinate strategic and tactical public and media relations plan and be the steward of brand reputation for clients who are heavily involved in the Business-to-Government market sector in areas such as systems integration, homeland security, management consulting, and financial management systems.

Job Summary:
The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for the daily contact between the agency and one or more client accounts. The AM interfaces with the various departments of the agency to move things through on behalf of the client. This includes meeting with various agency personnel concerning creative issues and input, media issues, publicity and newsmaking, and scheduling and timing leading to overall project management for client projects.
AMs have major input in helping develop strategic marketing plans for their clients. After the plan has been developed and presented to the client, the AM has the responsibility of carrying the plan out on a daily basis. AMs are also responsible for supporting the business development efforts to expand and gain new business from existing clients. AMs are not sales people. They are service personnel.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Meets regularly with agency personnel to coordinate agency efforts on behalf of assigned clients/accounts.
- Responsible for Client Contact Reports for all client meetings and distributes information to appropriate agency personnel. Quickly and accurately relays Client Change Orders to all appropriate agency personnel.
- Effectively presents, sells and defends all agency work/proposals to clients. Supports other client service team members in same.
- Keeps apprised of clients' products/services/marketing developments.
- Plan, schedule and support trade shows, conferences and events. Attend external client trade show events. Assist with booth setup and teardown, equipment, contracts, personnel and promotions. Travel outside of the DC Metro area may be required.
- Work in coordination with Vice President to support IT Web Portal project to include capture and management of deliverables schedule, development of reporting documents, documentation of processes, and update user trainings,
- Lead for external identification of potential solicitation of bids and requests for proposals responses for various projects to support Division's business development efforts.
- Assists in preparation of proposals and marketing/communications/media/PR planning.
- Checks and approves creative/production materials, copy, layouts, and production art, and coordinates client approval of same.
- Works in coordination with Division PR Contractor with public relations efforts including general media relations, story pitches, press release distribution and lead follow-up.
- Coordinates project timing and budgets with all relevant agency personnel.
- Actively seeks additional projects/new business from client contacts.
- Keeps apprised of progress of clients' projects through relevant personnel.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proofing, grammar and spelling.
- Expert working knowledge of MS Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills are essential
- Ability to work independently, as well as a team-oriented environment with an emphasis on results
- Must be comfortable juggling several projects at one time and delivering them all on time.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in business-to-government/Federal public sector including Department of Defense a plus.
- Strong experience with managing client projects for external clients
- Comfortable with senior-level client interface to perform tasks and attend meetings in support of Vice President of Strategic Communications
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in business/marketing or a related field.
- Must have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in marketing and account management
- Position may require travel outside of the DC Metro area. Must be able to lift and move heavy containers and boxes (display booth, trade show materials and print materials) including reaching overhead.
- SECRET level clearance or must have immediate ability to gain SECRET clearance status upon hire.

Position Opening: Accounts Director
This strategic position is an exciting opportunity for a "hands-on", entrepreneurial, client-savvy person, with a passion for managing and expanding business opportunities through effective client relationship management and internal team leadership in a growing integrated B2B & B2G marketing and public relations agency. Account Director reporting directly to the Agency CEO/President, will be a member of the Senior Management Team, allowing for participation in strategic business planning, budgeting and growth management for the agency.
