Primary Responsibilities:

  • Originate new business opportunities/clients via combination of new and traditional tactics and strategies.
  • Build relationships with key individuals within a variety of commercial businesses who are seeking creative solutions for how to optimize and improve the performance of their marketing spend.
  • Manage, grow and report pipeline using a process driven CRM system such as Salesforce.com.
  • Leverage agency's unique blend of online/offline marketing, advertising, direct response, CRM and Consultative based service offerings to expand agency's growth in market segments such as trade associations, retail, finance, services, high-tech, construction and healthcare.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other managers in the agency (ie. Account Management, Strategy, Creative) to identify new business opportunities which will provide growth to the agency's portfolio.
  • Lead the business development efforts by delivering prospective client presentations, proposals, and quotes to secure new client relationships.

Experience Guidlines:

  • Proven ability to prospect with a thorough knowledge of pipeline development and qualification of opportunities.
  • Current or prior sales experience (5-7 years) within a B2B company where prospecting was a requirement.
  • A Communications or Advertising industry experience/background highly preferred.
  • Experience in selling "traditional" consultative based solutions and web based services into marketing departments highly desirable.
  • Experience in addressing and responding to commercial RFPs - under tight timeframes.
  • Track record of meeting/exceeding annual sales quota based on new client acquisitions.
  • Strong relationships within the Washington DC/Baltimore region.
  • Team player who can work with multiple departments to deliver results.
  • A self starter who is resourceful and creative with their approach to getting things done in a fast and rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.

Proposal Writer, Government Services Division (Full-Time@ Reston HQ)

Responsibilities:

  • Writes clear, persuasive and articulate proposal sections; translates program accomplishments into easily understandable text; rewrites and/or reviews proposal sections and related proposal documents

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of proposal and or grant writing experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred

  • Experience with company products, services, competencies, solutions, and offerings
  • Experience with contract managers, account managers and pricing specialists

Public Relations Intern

Candidates interested in this for credit internship should be junior or senior undergraduate students or graduate school students pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, journalism, international affairs, marketing, or something similar. The department is looking for a well-rounded and intelligent public relations professional with a specific knowledge in digital (web 2.0) strategy and tactics, as well as traditional public relations.

The ideal candidate will be able to:
  • Demonstrate ability to think strategically and tactically
  • Contribute to the strategy and implementation of web 2.0 solutions
  • Conduct competitive research and provide analysis (i.e. SWOT analysis, market and media recall surveys, etc.)

Marketing Intern

This internship offers the opportunity for academic credit.

The position will provide strong working insights into how the actual business of marketing and advertising transpires. By working closely with the account management/client services team, the intern will help with tasks related to developing and executing on campaigns for a variety of clients across a wide range of industries. The intern will be exposed to agency culture and as result will gain an understanding of project management and standard account duties which are crucial to the success of any agency organization.

Qualifications:
